Tea. I want to talk about tea! ☕
Anyone who knows me knows I love tea. Everything from a proper builder's brew to a calming camomile before bed.
Sometimes, though, the universe has a funny sense of humour.
Earlier this week I was meeting a client for brunch (which was absolutely delicious, by the way). We spent the whole conversation talking about one thing... clarity, finding it and keeping hold of it when life gets busy and how to stop putting off the thing that matters most?
Together we must have said the word clarity about a hundred times!
Afterwards we wandered into the lovely little Herbary next door for a browse...
...and there it was.
A bag of Claritea. Well cue laughter.
It felt as though it had been sitting there waiting for us, obviously I couldn't just leave it there. I had to buy it! (I am also a sucker for great packaging).
When I got home and looked at what was actually in it... I really wanted to check whether I was likely to drink it or if it was yet another pretty packet that was going to gather dust on the shelf. I then got my good friend Chat to break it down for me so here you go ....
🌿 Rosemary – for clear thinking.
🌿 Sage – for wisdom.
🌿 Peppermint – for a fresh perspective.
🌿 Lemon balm – for calm.
🌿 Thyme – for the courage to take the next step.
Whether those herbs really do all of those things isn't the point (It smells incredible, by the way, and tastes wonderfully fresh and clean - result it will get drunk).
What struck me was what they represent.
Clear thinking.
Calm.
Fresh perspective.
Wisdom.
Courage.
Pretty much what happens when we give ourselves permission to slow down and find some space.
That's the bit I love most. Simply creating the space with people where the right answers can appear.
Sometimes the biggest breakthrough doesn't begin with a spreadsheet, a strategy or another late night at the laptop.
Sometimes...
...it starts with putting the kettle on.
☕ Here's to finding a little Claritea
